Achoo allows you to easily view the HTML for the webpage you’re viewing in Safari. It shows the HTML (as well as any inline CSS and JavaScript) with beautiful and fast syntax highlighting.
You can share the HTML you’re viewing, allowing you to easily inspect it on an external device of your choosing, or send it to a friend, or simply copy it to your clipboard.
You can edit the font if you’d like it smaller to display more information, or larger if you’d like to be able to make things out more clearly.
You can also choose to edit the contents of the webpage, allowing you to make modifications and preview how they look. Changes are not permanent, simply refresh the page in Safari to return the page to its original state after you’re finished previewing your changes. (Note: you’re not editing the HTML directly, rather it’s a visual editor of the contents of the page)
As a bonus, it includes a variety of alternate home screen icons so you can customize the app to your liking beautifully.

The One Thing that would make me give this a 5 star…

There’s no linewrap option. You need to in a lot of instances for some websites scroll very far right to see most of the text.

The lack of word wrap may be a dealbreaker

Overall, this Safari extension ostensibly does what it says on the tin. But there are three downsides that should probably be aware of, which I’ve listed below in order from least bad to most bad: 1. It isn’t great that this extension doesn’t let you configure whether to show in light mode or dark mode—it only ever follows the system setting. 2. Unless I’ve missed it somewhere, it doesn’t seem possible to be able to trigger this extension from share sheets. Now, you might be wondering why you’d ever need to do that since this extensions available through Safari‘s extensions dropdown—but if you might ever be looking at a webpage within a Safari webview (such as a webpage that you’re looking at within the Twitter app), then you know that there’s no access to the Safari’s extensions dropdown within those sorts of webviews. 3. There’s no way to enable word wrap. Which might be kind of a dealbreaker since so many sites are procedurally generated these days. So for all but the most straightforward use cases, this downside may well be a dealbreaker. All that being said, this app has good bones and good promise. And if the developer might be able to resolve some of these downsides, it could easily become a five-star app.

The nicest dollar I spent today

Does one thing well! Or actually, two things: I was surprised and delighted by the way edit mode works. Third-party app design at its best.

Pretty neat tool

I really like the edit mode; I wasn’t expecting it to be so simple.

Had so much potential. Need an easier way to copy all after inspect & search in app. Not any better than apps that came before this as of now. Which I had a better review :/.

Does what it says

Shows the the inspect source code of a website, like it says. I think uses a third party package to colorize the code. Looks and works great! It’s nice to have this functionality on iOS.

How do you invoke it in Safari

I’ve made the changes in Settings, but I can’t figure out how to invoke it in Safari.

I can’t enable this extension on safari.

I can’t enable this extension on safari. When I go to settings and go to safari and go to extensions, the app is greyed out and I can’t tap or do anything on it. If anyone knows how to fix this, please help me.

‘Edit’ function does not work.

Why is this only a tiny pop-up on my iPad Pro 12.9? shouldn’t have to scroll to the left to be able to see a full line of code on a 13inch screen… Also, would be nice if the Edit button worked since that’s the reason I purchased this app. I was under the impression I could use this as a tool to better my understanding of web-development and design, but in its current state, it is pretty much useless to me. Why not add a style sheet function that can pull the CSS nicely and give us usable data like colors and CSS animation code?

Must Wrap Text!

love that you made this, but it’s essentially useless due to the lack of text wrapping when viewing the html code. deleted this after downloading a few months ago because of this lack of functionality, just re-downloaded it hoping it was fixed but there has been no improvement. i’ll revise my review once this gets addressed, posted here in hopes the dev sees it.

Doesn’t work, simply not functional

I’ve purchased this app the minute it came out. Sadly it never really worked as the syntax parser seems to break after a couple of code blocks and stops showing any code at all. Buttons are not functional either. I’ve sent multiple bug reports with details to the developer to no response. Wasted money to be honest.

Room for improvement

If you want to view source code in Safari then this app is nice. Unfortunately this app isn’t as useful as the screenshots show. I’ve come across some sites that have 2-6 lines of source code all jumbled in the pop up viewer and it’s not very usable to keep scrolling left to right. Is there a way to make more sites look better in the viewer so they take up more lines instead of just a few? Maybe convert the text into a better format for displaying. Of course it’s better to view source in a desktop web browser with more space but I think there’s room for improvement to more easily read it in iOS.

Lacking full support for iPhone Pro Max

The UX of the extension is cut off on iPhone Pro Max. The HTML code doesn’t expand the full width of the screen.

Can’t Edit Text or the View Size

This app technically does mostly what it says; it adds the ability to view HTML code on a webpage. I’ve always wanted this ability! However, the size of the window makes it hard to use. You can’t edit the size, and most lines don’t fit fully. It’d be great to customize the size. However, the edit text button does not work. I click on the “Edit” button, it provides a pop up explaining how you edit text, but the HTML window closes when this prompt opens, and when I open the HTML window again, I’m not in edit mode anymore. Clicking on the edit button starts the process all over again. I’ll edit this review to 5 stars when it’s fixed. If I’m completely wrong/don’t know how to use it, a tutorial of how to properly use it would help as well. This is my first Safari extension so I might not know how to utilize them properly yet!
